START-UP   Driving School was formed in early 2009 by 3 friends who had previously worked for one of the larger local driving schools. Although the name Start-Up is relatively new, our team of instructors have many years of experience in driver training and in particular teaching learner drivers.

In forming Start-Up our goal was to give all the benefits of a larger driving school i.e. Male & Female instructors, manual & automatic cars, the option of doing mock driving tests etc. And include all the benefits of a small independent school i.e. value for money and excellent customer service.

I main goal is COMPLETE customer satisfaction!

We would also like to add that Start-Up is NOT a franchise. Almost all of the larger driving schools are in fact franchise businesses. This means that the instructor is actually self employed but pays the company a weekly franchise fee in order to use that particular name i.e. RED or BSM. Many people believe that you will receive a higher standard of tuition when learning with one of the larger schools but this is usually not the case. Many instructors start their career with the larger schools as that is where they received their ‘instructor training’, but usually leave once they have gained the necessary experience. The larger driving schools often use inexperience instructors ‘learning their trade’ or sometimes even ‘trainee driving instructors’ who are not yet fully qualified! Be warned!!
